Andrew Lawrence, Founder & CEO
Andrew hails from over 30 years of institutional capital markets experience. He started his career as a market maker on Wall Street, running dealing books in fixed-income derivatives and structured credit at Drexel Burnham Lambert and Greenwich Capital Markets. Following that, he ran a prop trading book and managed principal positions for Bankers Trust. Andrew then went on to found his first hedge fund, Rubicon Capital Management. In 1999, he founded Longitude, an early fintech company that created an innovative derivatives trading platform based upon proprietary market structures. Subsequently, he partnered with Goldman, Deutsche, and NYMEX, leading Longitude to a successful acquisition by the International Securities Exchange in 2005. Prior to founding Strike, he was a partner at Pantera Capital Management. Andrew was educated at M.I.T. and the Wharton School. He is currently based in New York.
Charles Walden, Founder & CTO
Charles has spent his lifetime building software products, teams, and companies. A veteran of 10+ technology startups, two of which he built from inception to IPO. His career highlights include Dialogic, a company at which he created the initial product and built the team of 150+ engineers while revenue went from 0 to $200M annually. Then came Mail.com, where he built one of the 3 largest consumer facing email companies. Later at Longitude, with fellow founder Andrew Lawrence, Charles created groundbreaking algorithms for multilateral order matching and a web-based derivatives trading platform. Charles attended the University of Texas at Austin.
